Psalm 138

Psalm 138:1-3

A Psalm of David.
 1 I will praise You with my whole heart;
         Before the gods I will sing praises to You.
 2 I will worship toward Your holy temple,
         And praise Your name
         For Your lovingkindness and Your truth;
         For You have magnified Your word above all Your name.
 3 In the day when I cried out, You answered me,
         And made me bold with strength in my soul

What a Thanksgiving!! LOL! But, I am still thankful for everything that God has given me, including living in TN. I'm going to write a list of things that I am thankful for:

My Dream

My dream is to live on a small farm in the country. I would love to raise ducks and chicken. It would also be cool to grow crops. Someday, I would love to become a christian/country singer. It would be a great way to get God's word out. Well, that is pretty much my dream.

Tennessee!

Yay! today I'm officially a Tennessean! I moved this week, and I'm still settling into the rent home. I hope to get a small farm with chicken and ducks. Maybe even a few cows. I think that it would be fun to grow crops too. I want to be a country girl so bad! Tennessee is so beautiful. I'm going to Dolly Wood soon (in Pigeon Forge TN)! This is all so crazy and exciting at the same time! What an adventure is ahead of me. I thank the Lord for getting me here safely. Yay!!!! Sooo happy and excited!

Care-Free Painting

In this picture there is a young girl reaching over a run-down fence trying to pick a flower. She has long, flowing hair that is so pretty. I love her dress. In the backround you can see a small house ( probably where she lives). You can also see little, yellow flowers everywhere. This painting is very care-free and sweet. This picture reminds me of the saying "the gress is always greener on the other side", or in this case the flowers are always prettier on the other side. On her side of the fence, there are some weeds and a few small flowers, but none as pretty as the one that she is trying to pick. I like this picture because is is peaceful and beautiful.

First of all my name is Julia. I live in Texas right now, but in a week I will officially be able to call Tenessee home! Yes I'm moving in less than a week! I'm soo excited! I love all pets, except cats and horses.  My favorite color is light green. I have one older sister, one younger brother, and one baby sister! I have two dogs. When I move I hope to get a farm! Also this blog is a school assignment, so I will be posting two times a week. I am definetly what you would call a music person! I play the piano, guitar, harmonica, dulcimer, lap harp, and the recorder. I would LOVE to lear the violin! I could listen to music all day!!! I really like long hair ( and have long hair myself!), and I have NEVER cut my hair before! Well I hope that that gives you a good idea of what I'm like!

The Evening Prayer

I love this Painting because it always reminds me that God is in control, and He will always listen to our prayers. In this painting the two people are praying for a good crop of potatoes. They have probably worked hard all day planting them, and so they hope that they will grow. It is hard to tell , but i'm pretty sure that is it is in the evening, and the sun is setting. In the very back you can see a church where these people probably go to. You can see a few potatoes in the basket that the lady was carrying. I love this painting!

A Busy Painting!

I like the Painting becuase it has so much detail! There are a bunch of little people scurrying around everywhere in the middle of a busy little town! It seems like living around here there would never be a dull moment. Someone would always be doing something important! I would like to live here, becuase there would always be something exciting going on! In this picture there are children plaging with sticks and barrels and people selling fruit. Some people are carving wood. I see a little pond in the back, that lets me know that not every part of this city is busy. So people that are exausted can walk down to the pond and just chill out!
I would rather live on the outskirts of this city (near the trees and pond), because that way I would still get some peace and quiet!

Victorian Picture

I love victorian pictures like this because everything is so beautiful! I love how all the women and girls wear skirts, it is so feminine and beautiful. In this picture i really like the little weenie dog! He is adorable! I imagin that this lady lives in a very nice house because the way she is posed tells me that she is very prim and proper. The little girl walking by is holding flowers ( maybe to give to the woman?). This picture makes you wonder if the little girl knows the woman or if they are friends. Also i could be that the little girl is coming to visit the lady. The lake in the backround adds a nice peaceful touch, and so do the trees. What a pretty picture.

Beautiful Painting

I like this painting because the lady looks serene and peaceful. You can tell that she very dreamy and happy. Her smelling the rose might remind her of someone that she loves and cares about. I love how you can see a little villiage behing the wall, showing that this was an old and unmodern city from long ago. I love the way she did her hair with all the beads. I looks so serene. Also the way her hair is loose gives you a care-free feeling about this picutre. If it was al tight and perfect then it just wouldn't have the same affect. I like how her dress i long and flowing, because it makes her look very feminine and beautiful. It is neat how the roses are growing on vines. I really like this painting because it is feminine and peaceful ( and makes you want to dream)!

A Painting That I Like

I like this picture because I looks cozy and colorful. This painting was painted by Thomas Kincaid. I love all the different flowers that look so calm and beautiful. Everything in this picture flows so well. I also like how all the lights are on in the house, because it gives the house a "home" like glow. I would love to live in a home like this one, because everything would be so colorful and happy. I like how the trees are beautiful red and orange colors, letting you know that it is autumn ( and all the pumpkins add a nice touch too!). You can also see a little dog next to the house. I like that because I am a dog person, and also because it lets you know that someone lives there. I gives the home a lived in feeling. I can imagine a family with three or four kids living happily here with their pet dog and loving parents. I can imagine this come somewhere buried in rolling country hills. Aahh what a dream! Behind the house there is probably a garden where they grow plands and crops. the land looks very fertile considering all the beautiful, colorful flowers. This is one of my favorite paintings done by Thomas Kincaid.
